Chelsea are hoping to finalise a deal for Gonzalo Higuain before their game at the weekend.
The Blues have agreed terms on a transfer that involves both Milan and Juventus.
Milan will end Higuain's season long loan, sending him back to Juventus. And they will allow him to join Chelsea on a loan with the possibility of a purchase.
The 31-year-old Argentine striker has played under Maurizio Sarri before.
Higuain has remained tight lipped on the transfer speculation himself.
But the Evening Standard believes a deal will be done soon - even in time for him to be in the squad for the game against Arsenal on Saturday.
