Chelsea transfers adviser Piet de Visser admits the club's youngsters have surprised him.
De Visser sees that their transfer ban has ultimately worked out well.
“Initially I was angry about it, but now I'm even happy with it," he told Algemeen Dagblad.
“Due to the transfer ban, it is simply necessary to look at your own youth. And that works out very well, with four young players from their own training as a result, such as talents like Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham."
On manager Frank Lampard, De Visser adds: “It is very attractive to look at, much nicer than the teams among predecessors such as Maurizio Sarri, José Mourinho or Antonio Conte. The teamwork beats the individual and Chelsea wants to attack."
