Chelsea training return this week expected for Callum Hudson-Odoi

Callum Hudson-Odoi is expected to return to Chelsea training this week.

The London Evening Standard says Hudson-Odoi will be allowed to train this week should he provide a negative test for coronavirus, despite his arrest on suspicion of rape.

The England international was arrested in the early hours of Sunday after police and ambulance services were called to reports of an unwell woman at the teenager's Battersea home.

Hudson-Odoi was released on bail and is to report back to police on a date in mid-June.

There is no suggestion under current guidelines that meeting someone from outside your household without symptoms should require isolation for 14 days.

Neither Hudson-Odoi or Chelsea has made any comment but he is understood to deny any wrongdoing.
