Antonio Conte will see how Chelsea captain John Terry is in the lead-up to this weekend's London derby with Arsenal.

The veteran centre-back missed Friday night's 2-1 home loss to Liverpool with the ankle injury he picked up against Swansea City the weekend prior.

While Terry is out of Tuesday night's EFL Cup third round fixture against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium, he could be in contention for the trip to North London to take on the Gunners at the Emirates.

Conte told Chelsea TV: "John is recovering.

"I saw him outside today and he is recovering. After this game we'll see his physical condition."
