Chelsea failed with a massive bid for PSG captain Marquinhos over the summer, it has been revealed.

RMC says the European champions were so determined to land the Brazil defender that they offered €100m to PSG.

However, the Parisians refused to do business, insisting Marquinhos was untouchable.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is a huge fan of Marquinhos, having named him captain of PSG last year after Thiago Silva's departure for Stamford Bridge.

Marquinhos' deal with PSG runs to 2024.
