Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has left the door open to closing out his career with former club Montpellier.
Giroud signed a new deal with Chelsea last month to keep him at Stamford Bridge for another 12 months.
He told France Bleu Hérault: “I don't want to give false hope or false information. I hope to play again at the highest level and play the Champions League, and the European Cups, at least another year or two.
"After that, we will take stock and then especially I will study the proposals that will be offered to me. Now, I cannot promise that I will finish a year in Montpellier, it is not possible.
"But in any case, knowing that Montpellier means a lot to me, I think it makes the fans happy."
