Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata says former manager Antonio Conte would've been a success at Real Madrid.
Conte was up for the job before Real named Santiago Solari as permanent coach this week.
“Was I surprised by the links?" Morata considered, speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Not at all, he's one of the best Coaches there is.
"Few are at his level tactically and he's a winner, the same goes for Real Madrid. He could have done very well at the Bernabeu."
Morata added: "He was my Coach, I can only thank him and wish him the best for the future… as long as we aren't opponents."
