Chelsea striker Giroud holding up Inter Milan move

Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud is holding up his move to Inter Milan.

L'Equipe says Giroud's transfer to Inter has hit a snag as the Frenchman haggles over the length of his contract.

Inter are said to have offered the Chelsea striker an 18-month deal, but Giroud is believed to be pushing for a two-and-a-half year contract.

However, report the issue will not hold up the transfer, with Giroud desperate to leave Stamford Bridge this month.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard said on Friday: “If everything is right it might happen, but it's not, so whilst it's not, he's our player.

“And the great thing about Ollie is that he's got great experience and professionalism, and he's been nothing but great with us."
