Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud admits Christophe Dugarry was on his mind in the aftermath of winning the World Cup with France.
Dugarry had been one of Giroud's biggest critics leading up to the Russian tournament.
And the Blues centre-forward told L'Equipe: "This is one of the first things I thought about after our coronation.
"But I did not want snap back.
"He apologised right after that. I appreciated it because everyone has the right to think and say that he was wrong at some point. It's even good. Especially on TV, you tend to unpack quickly. I am one of those who offers a second chance. I'm not resentful."
