Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud admits he's gunning for Michel Platini's France goalscoring record.
Giroud scored his 34th goal for France in victory over Moldova. He joins David Trezeguet in third place in the ranking of the best scorers in the history of Les Bleus.
And he says he is now targeting Michel Platini and his 41 goals.
"Yes it's objective (to overtake Platini). It's a pride too. I always said that the important thing for me was the collective," said Giroud.
"But it is true that personally, I hope to beat this record."
France's top scorer remains Thierry Henry with 51 goals.
