It is unlikely Diego Costa will sign for Fenerbahce on loan, according to Sky Sports.

The Chelsea striker has an opportunity to join the Super Lig club because the Turkish transfer window closes on Friday.

However, Fenerbahce manager Aykut Kocaman said on Thursday: "Diego Costa's move was close for a loan, [but] the outcome is negative for now".

Costa and Chelsea are both desperate to part ways after a very public fall-out between the Spaniard and Blues boss Antonio Conte.

The 28-year old has refused to return to London, instead spending his summer in his hometown of Lagarto in Brazil.
