Chelsea striker Batshuayi thrills Besiktas fans with winning double

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi has quickly won over fans at Besiktas with a double on Saturday.

In his third appearance for Besiktas, Batshuayi struck twice in victory over Yeni Malatyaspor.

Batshuayi, on a season-long loan in Turkey, first converted a clever pass from fellow new arrival Miralem Pjanic. He later earned a second goal after pressuring the opposition goalkeeper Abdulsamed Damlu.

Damlu's attempted clearance struck the Belgian and finished in the empty net.

Not since 2019, while on-loan with Crystal Palace, has Batshuayi struck twice in a first team game. He has been on the books at Chelsea since 2016, when he arrived from Olympique Marseille. Besiktas represents his fifth loan move away from Stamford Bridge.

With Besiktas, Batshuayi's record is two wins and a draw.

Now 27, Batshuayi has a contract to 2023 with Chelsea. As a Blues player, the Belgian has played 77 games, scoring 25 goals.
