Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi says joining Borussia Dortmund has long been on his mind.
Batshuayi is on-loan at BVB to the end of the season and already amongst the goals for his new club.
"Everything is going very well. I received a very friendly welcome from the coach and the board, and the players are all very nice. I am happy to be part of this team," he said. "It has always been one of my favorite clubs since I was a little boy."
And he admits Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wanted to sign him when he was in charge of BVB.
"The former coach here, Jurgen Klopp, had talked to my coach at Standard (Liège) and said he was watching me closely," recalled Batshuayi, who admits the move was motivated by making Belgium's World Cup squad.
"If all goes well here in Dortmund, then I have very good chances to go to the World Cup."
