Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata admits the aims he had when leaving Real Madrid all fell through.
Morata concedes he has endured a difficult time since leaving Real last year for London.
He told El Mundo: "I learned a lot because it was a very difficult year.
"I left home from Madrid to have a chance to go to the World Cup, and in the end I had neither the World Cup nor anything else.
"Faced with these kind of things, we can only learn, even if they are hard to live with. Luckily, I had my wife who always supported me, and the birth of my children made things lighter, it was spectacular."
