Chelsea are still hoping to facilitate a player exchange involving Eden Hazard and James Rodriguez.
According to Don Balon, the Blues are prepared to send Belgian star Hazard to Real Madrid if they can sort a swap deal which would see Rodriguez move from the Santiago Bernabeu to Stamford Bridge.
Madrid have been keen on reigning Premier League Player of the Year Hazard for some time now and are believed to be pondering such a move despite the fact they do not want to sell Colombian ace Rodriguez.
It has been reported that Jose Mourinho's Blues may look to change things up in January following a disappointing start to their title defence and are determined to land a big-name player such as Rodriguez who has been valued at around £58million.
However, Real are concerned about Mourinho's stance that Hazard should not be allowed to leave West London for anything less than Rodriguez and are worried the Chelsea boss is unsettling the 24-year-old.
