Chelsea still have two chances to get into Champions League – Azpilicueta

Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta believes that the Blues still stand a good chance of qualifying for the Champions League.

Following their 1-1 draw against Manchester United, Chelsea are currently languishing in 13th place in the Premier League table and are a sizeable 17 points off of a top four spot.

Many believe that the reigning Premier League champions will now surely miss out on Europe's elite club competition next season but Azpilicueta remains optimistic and believes that the West Londoners can still qualify for Europe with a good run in the Premier League or indeed by claiming triumph in the Champions League this current campaign.

Azpilicueta said: "Obviously every time we don't win and there is one game less, there is less chance to get into the top four. But we don't give up obviously playing our way.

"We are on an unbeaten run, but we have to get the wins. Hopefully we can win games in a row and keep climbing. We will see where we are with five-six games in a row and see whether we can get there or not.

"We are trying and will always try to make it. We also have the path of winning the Champions League (to qualify) and we have a tough game coming up against PSG. We will try both ways to get into the Champions League this season."

Chelsea meet French giants PSG in the Round of 16 first leg at Parc des Princes on February 16.
