Chelsea will welcome back Eden Hazard and N'Golo Kante for Wednesday night's meeting with Brighton, manager Maurizio Sarri has confirmed.

Both players were rested for Sunday's win over Cardiff, which infuriated sections of the away support.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the Italian said: "I don't know for the moment, but I think so," he said. "They were rested in the last match - all the match with N'Golo and for 55 minutes for Eden.

"But we need to consider that N'Golo, this season, has played 50 matches, and Hazard 48.

"In the last two weeks they played with their national teams for two matches, so sometimes they need to rest. But now they are okay, I think."
