Mason Mount has revealed how Jose Mourinho taught him some tricks during his time as Chelsea ball-boy.

The 20-year-old is now an established first-team player after coming through the ranks at Cobham.

When he was a young lad on the sidelines, Mourinho used to tell him to stop giving the balls back quickly to the opposition.

"The first thing I really remember was being a ball bay at the games," Mount said.

"That was a big thing for me. I was so buzzing about that and you can't really be any closer than that!

"One moment that stands out was under Jose Mourinho.

"If we were winning in Champions League games then he would tell us to keep hold of the ball and not to throw it back so quickly!"
