Chelsea starlet Loftus-Cheek: I'm heading in right direction under Sarri

Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek believes he's heading in the "right direction" under Maurizio Sarri.

The 22-year-old has been important for Chelsea recently, starting and scoring against Wolves before coming off the bench to net against Fulham. He also appeared as a substitute in Saturday's win over Manchester City.

His inconsistent game time this season has lead to reports of a possible winter loan move, with Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Schalke touted as possible destinations.

However, the England international is enjoying his improved situation at Stamford Bridge.

"It's been really good for my confidence," he said.

"I've had a lot more game-time on the pitch and I've been doing well when I've played so I'm raring to go at the minute.

"I want to enjoy it and improve on my game as much as I can when I'm playing. It's given me more confidence that the manager is playing me more so I'm heading in the right direction."
