The popularity of football in the United States is growing exponentially and Chelsea star Eden Hazard is looking to the advantage of the huge financial opportunity by recently investing in a NASL side based in San Diego.
Crystal Palace midfielder Yohan Cabaye, Shanghai Shenhua striker Demba Ba and Al-Ahli's Moussa Sow also hold a stake in the San Diego franchise, while former USA striker Landon Donovan is backing a bid to bring a Major League Soccer team to the city.
Hazard said following his investment: ""We can't wait to get started and win some games.
"San Diego is a beautiful place and the love and passion the people have for soccer made this an easy choice for us.
"My friends and I are honoured to turn this dream into a reality."
