Chelsea star Ashley Cole's flat was burgled while he was playing for England.

The Chelsea defender found it ransacked after the team's 4-0 demolition of Bulgaria at Wembley.

It is thought thieves broke in to his swish pad on footballers' row in Esher, Surrey, to swipe jewellery, cash and the keys to his sports cars, reports the Mirror.

However, police last night refused to comment on what had been stolen in the raid.
