Chelsea star Ashley Cole faces a huge pay-cut if he wants to move to MLS.

The Daily Star says the Chelsea full back's future looks certain to lie away from Stamford Bridge after he lost his place in Jose Mourinho's starting XI.

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has encouraged the England left-back to join him at New York Red Bulls.

But the most he can expect in wages would be about £50,000 a week, with defenders not commanding big salaries in the MLS.
