Chelsea star Gary Cahill is ready to cast aside his memories from 2012 as he prepares to represent England at Euro2016.
The 30-year-old missed the last edition of the tournament in Poland and Ukraine after he suffered a broken jaw in the pre-tournament friendly against Belgium.
However, Cahill is pitting that behind him as he embarks on this summer's European Championships with the Three Lions in France.
"It was unfortunate for me but I don't think for one moment that Dries Mertens thought, 'I'm going to push this guy in the back and hopefully he'll break his jaw'," Cahill told the club's official website.
"It was a huge blow for me as it was so close to going to the tournament but the past is the past.
"I just worry about what's in front of me now, about preparing for a major tournament. I've got a bit of experience now and I'm happy to be part of it."
