Bayern Munich ace Dayot Upamecano is the latest defender to be linked with Chelsea.

The Blues have been monitoring Matthijs de Ligt, Nathan Ake and Jules Kounde over recent weeks.

New co-owner Todd Boehly has held talks with Juventus for de Ligt.

However, the American fears Bayern Munich are more likely to sign the Dutchman.

Should that happen, the Evening Standard reports that Boehly could move for Upamecano as he will be surplus to requirements at the Allianz.

Boehly has wrapped up his first deal of the summer after agreeing a 50m fee to sign Raheem Sterling.

The England international is expected to be unveiled on Monday and is set to join up with the squad for their tour of the United States.
