Chelsea skipper Terry visits young fan in Sydney hospital

Chelsea captain John Terry visited a Blues fan suffering from leukaemia in a Sydney hospital on Tuesday. Terry posted a picture with the Chelsea fan in question, Connor Ansell, on his Instagram account which showed the pair smiling as the defender held the Premier League trophy in his hand.

He wrote: "Today I had the pleasure to finally meet Connor Ansell.

"Connor is fighting Leukaemia and Chelsea received an email before our trip to Australia asking if the club could do anything to cheer him up as Connor is a big Chelsea fan.

"We were halfway to him yesterday before training but traffic jams on our way forced us to turn around to make training on time, so after lunch today we made our way back to the hospital to see Connor along with the Premier League Trophy and put a BIG smile on his face.

"You are an inspiration my friend and keep fighting. JT".
