Ajax midfielder Hakim Ziyech is proud of his relationship with fans ahead of leaving for Chelsea.
With the Eredivisie season abandoned, Ziyech will now join Chelsea on July 1 for a fee rising to €44m.
Ziyech says he's proud of how he turned things around with the Ajax support, with the lowest point being when he was shoved by one fan two years ago after defeat to PSV.
"I've had a hard time sometimes. A lot was coming at me, a lot was getting to me," he told Voetbal International.
"That I have been able to turn it around to love and respect is something very valuable to me.
"I think that makes it beautiful. You don't see that very often in this world.
"Players start behaving differently, acting differently than they actually are. I don't, I always remain true to myself. That fills me with pride. No one can say they helped me with that, because they didn't."
