Chelsea signing Christian Pulisic has revealed how he could've signed for Southampton or Tottenham earlier in his career.

Speaking to FourFourTwo, Pulisic revealed he spent time with Tottenham as a youngster.

However, it was Borussia Dortmund who made the move to keep the USA international in Europe on a full-time basis.

"I had a few training sessions with Tottenham and Southampton," Pulisic said.

"I played for the US national team in some tournaments in Europe and Dortmund had scouts there.

"I knew about how Dortmund developed young players. I came here, liked it a lot and they offered me something that I could not refuse."
