Chelsea signing Diego Costa: No World Cup hangover

Chelsea signing Diego Costa insists he'll suffer no hangover from a poor World Cup with Spain.

Costa controversially opted to play for Spain rather than his native Brazil, even though he had already made two appearances for the World Cup hosts in friendlies.

He was jeered by the home fans during his three games at the finals but when asked if he had any regrets, said: "Never, I'd do it again. I do not regret anything I do in my life.

"I'm not hurt [by all the criticism]. I was realising a dream of competing for a World Cup and I thank God for that. So there's no reason to be offended by anything that has happened.

"I hope to be in the next World Cup. I will try to maintain the level during the next four years and if I have the opportunity to live another moment like this, to compete in the World Cup in Russia, I would be very grateful."
