Chelsea set to welcome £400M cash injection

Premier League giants Chelsea are set for a £400 million cash injection to bolster their finances.

The Stamford Bridge club have been on a mega spending spree since their takeover by Clearlake Capital and Todd Boehly.

With results not improving on the pitch, the club are now seeking new investment to balance the books.

Per The Mail, US firm Ares Management will be bringing the money into the club.

There is no indication yet as to how much of a stake in the club Ares would get through such a financial outlay.

Aside from spending money on players, Chelsea are also looking to redevelop their current 40,000-capacity Stamford Bridge home or relocate to a new stadium.
