Chelsea are readying a summer bid for AC Milan's Alessio Romagnoli.

According to Calciomercato, the Blues are seeking a new central defender and 21-year-old Romagnoli has emerged as a key target.

It is believed that Chelsea are prepared to pay £30million for the Italy U21 international who started his career with AS Roma.

Romagnoli has been an integral part of Sinisa Mihajlovic's Rossoneri side in his debut campaign at the San Siro, starting 27 times for the team that sits sixth in Serie A.
