Chelsea set for quartet of key changes for Maccabi Tel Aviv clash

Jose Mourinho is set to make some major alterations to his Chelsea team.

The Blues take on Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Champions League on Wednesday night and go into the opening group stage game without four of their most important players.

According to The Express, Mourinho will rest skipper John Terry and is also set leave out key defender Branislav Ivanovic, star striker Diego Costa and midfielder Nemanja Matic.

Chelsea have endured their worst start to a domestic season in 29 years and Mourinho is keen to adopt some changes as he looks to arrest their poor form when they host the Israeli champions at Stamford Bridge in their Group G opener.

Of the changes, Mourinho said: "I know people will say if I leave out a player it's because I have a problem with him.

"But I cannot be worried about what people say. I will make a couple of changes because I have to try a different dynamic, a couple of different faces."
