Chelsea scouts see Lyon ace Dembele, RB Leipzig striker Werner in action

Chelsea sent scouts to watch the draw between RB Leipzig and Lyon in the Champions League on Wednesday.

According to the Daily Mail, a 'healthy contingent' of Chelsea staff were in the stands scouting Moussa Dembele and Timo Werner.

The latter scored in the 2-2 draw, taking his tally to 20 from 22 games this season.

The Blues are interested in signing another attack to ease the load on Tammy Abraham.

Frank Lampard admitted as much after Tuesday's win over Lille, stating the club had failed to replace Eden Hazard's goal contribution.

Both Dembele and Werner have been coveted by Chelsea's Premier League rivals in recent times, namely Manchester United and Liverpool.

Lampard will be given a significant amount of money to spend next month after the club's transfer ban was reduced.
