Chelsea's injury gamble with Trevoh Chalobah backfired yesterday.
Football.London says Chalobah is set for an assessment on Monday on a hamstring injury sustained in the 2-2 draw against Liverpool.
The young centre-back was a big doubt for the clash against Jurgen Klopp's side, but decided to risk his involvement before being substituted after 70 minutes.
Chalobah is now set to be assessed by Chelsea staff on Monday, though he is likely to miss the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Tottenham on Wednesday at the very least unless he is given the all-clear following the assessment.
The centre-back has been in fine form since earning a place in the Chelsea first-team during pre-season, impressing Thomas Tuchel during the UEFA Super Cup win against Villarreal before scoring on his Premier League debut against Crystal Palace shortly after.
