Chelsea striker Loic Remy is ready to step up for Liverpool's visit to Stamford Bridge, if the first choice striker Diego Costa misses out due to his injury.
Costa faces a late fitness test for the game after he suffered a rib injury in the Capital One Cup defeat to Stoke City on Tuesday.
Remy said: "I'm always ready for any chance the manager gives me. I don't know the situation with Diego, but if I have the opportunity to play against Liverpool I will be really pleased.
"My fitness is good. I had time to work on it, my cardio during the last few weeks after being out with a minor injury. I felt really good in training and now I give my best for the team. 'I'm sure the mood of the team will recover and we will be ready for Saturday. It is a really big game for us."
