Chelsea are inching closer to the signing of Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus.
The Blues will keep the Argentine striker for the rest of the season on loan.
And the deal will include the option to extend that loan by another 12 months, per the Evening Standard.
But the deal is dependent on AC Milan signing Krzysztof Piatek as Higuain's replacement.
When they sign Piatek, Milan will end Higuain's loan and send him back to Juventus.
Then he can complete his deal with Chelsea.
The 31-year-old is seen as the solution to the Blues' striker woes, with Alvaro Morata leaving for Atletico Madrid.
