Argentina are threatening Spain's plans for Espanyol whizkid Nico Melamed.
The 18 year-old is a Spain U19 international, but he also qualifies for Argentina and their FA are serious about tempting him away from La Roja. Melamed is the grandson of Felipe Ribaudo, who won two Copa Libertadores and the Copa Intercontintal with Estudiantes.
Melamed is tied to Espanyol until 2023, with a buyout clause of €8m, and has Europe's biggest clubs monitoring his progress.
Melamed became the first player born in 2001 to make his Espanyol senior debut last August.
