Chelsea pushing to talk down Bayer Leverkusen Havertz price

Chelsea are pushing to talk down Bayer Leverkusen's asking price for Kai Havertz.

Chelsea managing director Marina Granovskaia is working hard behind the scenes to sign the Germany international this transfer window. But she's currently hoping to strike a deal for 20 per cent cheaper than what the Bundesliga giants want, reports Bleacher Report.

Chelsea's interest in Havertz has been well-documented, with Frank Lampard determined to add the Leverkusen star to his star-studded attack.

Granovskaia has been working hard on a deal behind the scenes, working on ways to haggle with the German side.

Chelsea are hoping to sign Havertz for 20 per cent less than the £90.4 million Leverkusen are currently demanding.

Yet it's claimed there's an expectancy that Havertz will sign once the German side's Europa League campaign draws to a close.
