Chelsea prepare offer for Bayer Leverkusen whizkid Havertz after German Cup final

Chelsea will push to sign Kai Havertz after Bayer Leverkusen play Bayern Munich in the German Cup final clash on Saturday.

Havertz's chances of leaving Leverkusen have increased since the club failed to qualify for the Champions League.

The Telegraph says the Blues are preparing a bid for the midfielder, who is valued at £90m.

But they are not alone in their interest, with Bayern also planning a move.

After acquiring Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech, Frank Lampard views Havertz as the final piece of his attacking puzzle for next season.

But Blues transfer chief Marina Granovskaia will have to try extremely hard to make Leverkusen lower their demands.
