Chelsea are watching AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli.
Calciomercato.com says Chelsea sent scouts to watch Milan defender Romagnoli last weekend.
The 23-year-old featured in the derby clash with Inter on Sunday at the San Siro and is well known to Maurizio Sarri.
Chelsea scouts were in attendance at the encounter to keep an eye on Romagnoli.
The Italian has been linked with Manchester United in the past and is believed to be open to a move to the Premier League.
Sarri has preferred Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz as his first-choice defensive pairing ahead of Andreas Christensen and club captain Gary Cahill.
