Chelsea are looking to recall Andreas Christensen from Borussia Monchengladbach and are hopeful of using Nathan Ake as a makeweight to facilitate the move, according to The Telegraph.

Christensen joined Monchengladbach on a two-year loan deal in the summer but with Chelsea set to lose club captain John Terry and the injured Kurt Zouma also being ruled out for a considerable time, it is believed that the Blues are keen on bringing the 19-year-old back to Stamford Bridge next season.

Chelsea do not have a recall option present in their loan agreement with Monchengladbach though and it has been claimed that the Blues are looking to offer Watford loanee Ake as a makeweight to the Bundesliga side in order for Denmark international Christensen to return to London over the summer.
