Chelsea owner Boehly furious with Marina over Tchouameni snub

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is furious they failed to compete for Aurelien Tchouameni last season.

The France midfielder left AS Monaco for Real Madrid over the summer, though the deal was settled before the summer transfer window opened.

Sport says Boehly is a big fan and was left furious when learning Chelsea never made an attempt to compete for Tchouameni's signature.

It's suggested former managing director Marina Granovskaia backed the retention of Saul Niguez, on-loan from Atletico Madrid, ahead of moving for Tchouameni in January.

Real Madrid would eventually have a €100m offer for the 22 year-old accepted by ASM later in the season.
