Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has ruled out making major signings during the transfer window, claiming that the Blues only need one player to replace the departing Filipe Luis.
Speaking with Sky Sports News, Mourinho said: "In this moment we don´t want players... Of course we must be ready because the market is open and if someone comes for one of our players with a bid, we must be ready to act."
Mourinho effectively confirmed Brazilian left-back Filipe Luis' exit from Stamford Bridge as he continued: "We need a left-back because I think we will sell Filipe Luis, so we need to go to the market. But other positions we have no space."
Luis is set to return to Atletico Madrid only one year after Chelsea signed him, following a season where he played second choice behind Spaniard Cesar Azpilicueta.
