Chelsea have reportedly made a £41.5million offer for PSG striker Edinson Cavani.
French outlet Le 10 Sport suggests that Antonio Conte is desperate to lure the Uruguayan from Paris to London and has lodged the aforementioned bid in order to do so.
However, French champions PSG are looking for a fee closer to £67m for 29-year-old Cavani.
Following Zlatan Ibrahimovic's move to Manchester United, the starting striker role has opened up for Cavani and it is underfoot that new boss Unai Emery plans to use him as his number one attacker.
Reports suggest Cavani is keen on a new challenge and would be open to a move to the Premier League, even if his agent said in May that it would not be possible to quit PSG, after already losing one striker.
Chelsea still has Diego Costa on their books but if the Spain international is sold back to Atletico Madrid, the Blues could continue to pursue Cavani, despite the reports being 'bold' as such.
