Chelsea not giving up on PSG stopper Kimpembe despite Koulibaly plans

Chelsea have not given up on signing PSG centre-back Presnel Kimpembe.

The Frenchman is a key target for manager Thomas Tuchel, who is still searching for the one or two elite defenders his squad needs this summer.

The Blues lost Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen on free transfers, and have yet to replace either player.

According to The Telegraph, Tuchel wants three new defenders in an ideal world.

Kimpembe is one who he knows from his time at PSG, while Chelsea are also looking at Nathan Ake from Manchester City.

Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly and Sevilla's Jules Kounde are also targets, as is Matthijs de Ligt from Juventus.

However, the latter appears most likely to sign for Bayern Munich.
