Chelsea midfielder Ziyech scores for Morocco from inside own half in victory over Georgia

Chelsea midfielder Hakim Ziyech scored from five yards inside his own half as Morocco beat Georgia 3-0 in their final warm-up match ahead of the World Cup finals in Qatar.

The winger, who returned to the Atlas Lions set-up in September following a long-running feud with former coach Vahid Halilhodzic, spotted keeper Giorgi Mamardashvili off his line in the first half.

Youssef En Nesyri and former Southampton midfielder Sofiane Boufal also scored for the North Africans in Sharjah.

Sevilla forward En Nesyri had given Morocco a fifth-minute lead with a close-range header before Ziyech doubled the lead in style in the 29th minute.

Boufal added a penalty with 18 minutes remaining following a foul on substitute Noussair Mazraoui as Burnley winger Anass Zaroury made his senior international debut as a second-half substitute following his switch of allegiance from Belgium.

Morocco open their Group F campaign against Croatia on Wednesday next week, and will also face Belgium and Canada in Group F
