Chelsea midfielder Van Ginkel upbeat as PSV comeback continues

Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel continues to make his way back at PSV Eindhoven.

On-loan for the season after two years out with knee injury, Van Ginkel has been a second-half substitute for PSV over the last three games.

"It felt a bit like my debut again. We lost the game, but I celebrated it with my family anyway. It felt important because it was a great achievement for me," Van Ginkel said of his first game back in defeat to AZ.

He also told Goal, "If I can get back to my level, then I know my qualities, but at the moment it is only focusing on PSV and myself. I want to make a few more minutes in the coming games. The mentality you need to make it happen is the same as you need to come back. It's the will to get better every day. But for now I'm just glad to be a footballer again."
