Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel has no regrets not returning to Eredivisie in the summer.
Van Ginkel ignored offers from Ajax and PSV Eindhoven to sign on-loan with AC Milan.
"I deliberately said, I played three years in the Netherlands and I done most things there," he said.
"It suited me better to go abroad. Mentally I'm more mature than when I left at Vitesse. Since I've been with Chelsea, I've experienced everything.
"Recovering after such a long injury has also made me physically stronger. People sometimes forget that. I'm just back in top shape."
