Chelsea midfielder Van Ginkel pleased with PSV return: I'll soon be playing again

Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel is happy to be back with PSV Eindhoven.

Van Ginkel has returned to PSV on-loan as he recovers from knee surgery. His contract at Chelsea expires in June.

"The Holland midfielder said, “I am now in the final phase of an individual program and expect to join the A-selection training sessions in a few weeks.

"I will soon have to take part in training games. PSV can and wants to offer me this perspective and I think that's fantastic. I became champion of the Netherlands twice here and I know that at a great club I get the chance to fight back completely.

"The fact that Chelsea is thinking along with me in the form of a new rental period is very nice. That shows the good relationship we have built up after all these years."

PSV technical chief John de Jong also explained, “We can help him now and we are very happy to do so. Marco is not yet available, but if the final phase of his recovery goes well, he can play a role in our A-selection over time.

“Marco has come a long way and it makes no sense to put any pressure on him. We have made clear, sound agreements. Also with Chelsea. We are now going to do everything we can to create a win-win situation for those involved."
