Saul Niguez has admitted he feared for his deadline day move to Chelsea from Atletico Madrid.

It looked as though the deal would fall through as last week's deadline approached.

However, Saul completed a season-long loan move to Stamford Bridge, which precipitated Atleti re-signing Antoine Griezmann from Barcelona.

Saul told Spanish internet celebrity Ibai Llanos in a conversation on Twitch: 'I thought "this is not going to come in and that's it". It has been a long afternoon and night.

'My wife was very nervous. We have had some very complicated days because this decision is not easy. Leaving my home on a new adventure is complicated."
