Chelsea midfielder Charly Musonda has revealed he's determined to beat the odds to return to action.

Having signed on-loan with Vitesse this past season, Musonda suffered a serious knee injury before making a competitive appearance - a setback which ruled him out for the campaign.

Musonda has now taken to social media to reveal his recovery is on track.

Now 23, the Belgian declared: "We are now seven months after surgery.

"I only had a 20 percent chance of ever playing football again. After almost four years of not being fit, I continue on my way to recovery and redemption. I hope to be back on the training field in about four months.

"Never let your dreams fade, no matter how difficult they are to achieve. And stay motivated."

Musonda's current deal with Chelsea runs to 2022.
